Scholars Program

Children of service members deserve the financial support to pursue their college dreams.

The Team Plitt Scholars Program provides Scholarships for higher education to:

  • Children of Military Veterans
  • Active Duty Military Personnel
  • Veterans KIA

Team Plitt will carry on Greg’s legacy by helping children of Active Duty Military Personnel, Veterans KIA and National Guard personnel achieve both physical and emotional wellness and we will provide academic scholarships for qualified children through the Team Plitt Scholars Program.

With your help the Team Plitt Scholars Program enables these students to achieve their academic goals, preparing them for the competitive job market, or to pursue entrepreneurial success.

Team Plitt also awards Grants to enable youth to participate in college-based youth sports camps for good health and fitness during the summer months. Summer Sports Camps can provide physical fitness outlets and group interaction with peers, promoting social wellness.

Sometimes  groups of youth are literally “left behind”, and can suffer a loss of guidance, thereby missing out on many of the psychological tools they need for overall wellness and academic success. The Board of Directors of Team Plitt Inc., several of whom served in the military or had family members who served, are well aware that Military Personnel and National Guard reservists experience multiple deployments, which in many cases takes them away from young families.

Scholarship applications will open in 2017.

Children of Active Duty Military Personnel, Veterans, Military Personnel KIA and National Guard personnel will be eligible for small grants to offset the fees for attending military youth summer sports camps. There are over 20 different types of sports camps offered! These youth sports camps sites include:

  • Army at the United States Military Academy at West Point
  • Navy at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland
  • Air Force at the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

(*United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy attendance is free of charge, and consequently it is not included in options here.)

Summer Camp applications will open in 2017.
